Pada pertandingan lain, Manchester United sukses mempermalukan tuan rumah Hull City dengan skor 2-3. Tim besar lainnya, Chelsea, juga memperoleh tiga poin setelah menang tipis 1-0 atas Swansea City. Sedangkan Tottenham Hotspur harus puas berbagai angka dengan West Bromwich Albion.
Kejutan terjadi pada pertandingan Everton melawan Sunderland. Sebagai tim juru kunci, Sunderland berhasil mempermalukan tuan rumah Everton 0-1. Kemenangan tersebut sekaligus menghentikan catatan tak terkalahakan Everton di Goodison Park sejauh musim ini.
